During the summer of 2016, the Verduzco laboratory will participate in the Rice Institute of Biosciences and Bioengineering (IBB) STEM Engagement program. This program brings high school students from the Science Academy of South Texas to Rice toparticipate in field trips, demonstrations, and conduct laboratory research.
Morgan and Andrea will each mentor a student as part of this program. The students will shadow Morgan and Andrea to see what it is like to build a battery, synthesize an elastomer, conduct an NMR experiment, and other laboratory activities. We are looking forward to the experience.
