Luqing’s hometown is in Shandong, China. He got his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Tianjin University in China in 2012 before coming to Rice. Now he is co-advised by Dr. Verduzco and Dr. Hirasaki
Luqing is doing research on synthesis and evaluation of zwitterionic polymers for Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR). He wants to find some polymers that can provide effective mobility control in high temperature and high salinity homogeneous reservoirs. After finishing his degree, he wants to find a job in oil industry here in US.
He plays basketball a lot in his spare time and also a super fan for Houston Rockets!
